LOCAL CUSTOMER POLICY:
No unlimited mileage for local customers (San Diego County residents are allowed 100 miles per day, after that the rate will be 0.29 cents - 0.49 cents per mile, depending on vehicle class.) Call for details and exceptions.
LATE RETURNS AND EXTENSIONS:
You have a 1 hour grace period past your return set time at no extra charge. Vehicles not returned by set time will incur an extra day charge plus $ 15.00 per day late fee. Extensions may be allowed by calling the office in advance. All extensions will incur a minimum 15.00 per day fee plus daily rate.
AIRPORT AND CUSTOMER FACILITY CHARGES:
If you arrive from the San Diego International Airport, an Airport charge of 11.1% will be collected on behalf of the San Diego County Airport Authorities and added to the contract.
Also, a one time $10.00 customer facility charge ( CFC ) imposed by San Diego County Airport Authority will apply to all to all customers arriving and being picked up at San Diego Airport. This fee is effective on May 1st 2009.

RESERVATION POLICY:
The reservation will be held for up to 2 hours past your scheduled arrival time. After two hours we have the right to rent the vehicle you have reserved. If you have not contacted us, there will be a one day charge as a NO SHOW. Please call us in case of delay (619) 233-3366.
CLEANING POLICY:
We reserve the right to charge additional cleaning fees if car is returned in excessively soiled condition.

DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT
Major Credit Cards: Valid driver license and credit card must be in the same name. Credit card must have available funds of $300.00 or estimated amount of rental charges plus 15% whichever is greater. NOTE: We do not accept the miniature key tag style credit cards. Bank debit cards are ONLY accepted on specific models. Please, you must call us in advance to qualify. At least $300 deposit will be required.
CREDIT CARD INFORMATION
Pacific Rent A Car requires your credit card information to secure this reservation. However, your credit card will not be charged at this time.
Please provide 48 hours notice of cancellation. A one day charge will apply if cancellation notification is less than 24 hours from the pick-up date and time.

CHILDREN SAFETY SEAT POLICY
EQUIPMENT - In California, state laws require children six years of age or younger less than 60 pounds in weight to be in a child restraint device. There is a $9.95 per day fee for child seats. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged a repair or replacement charge will be applied.
RENTERS INFORMATION POLICY
Additional renters information: All renters/drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply: A valid drivers license (U.S., Canadian or international licenses with a valid passport are accepted), current home address (not P.O. Box), a current home phone number, and second contact phone number (cell -business).
RENTAL LENGTH POLICY
Length of rental agreements (contract): Rentals cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement (contract).
GAS POLICY
The Renter is responsible to refuel the vehicle. Please be aware that there it is a $3.50 (this rate may vary) per gallon refueling fee if the vehicle is not returned with same amount of gas when rented. THERE is NO REFUND if the tank is over filled.

CHILD SAFETY SEAT: rentals are $9.95 per day.

RENTAL PERIOD POLICY
DAILY rates imply a 24 hour reservation period. WEEKLY rates imply a 5-7 day reservation period. You could be charged additional fees for cars returned at a different time or date from the original reservation.

All drivers must be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license and MAJOR CREDIT CARD. Drivers between the age of 21 and 24 will be charged $15 A DAY under age fee.

Geographic Restrictions
Vehicles must remain in the allowed geographic areas. Distance "no further than" from the San Diego Rental Location:
1. CA State - Up to city of San Francisco
2. NV State - Up to the city of Las Vegas
3. AZ State - Up to the city of Phoenix
3. Vehicles are NOT ALLOWED INTO MEXICO
